Hi! I’m a stay-at-home mom of three very active little boys. My oldest is very imaginative, verbal, and constantly pushing the limits. My youngest are twins who were born 15 weeks prematurely. They are beautiful, sweet little miracles. Raising my boys is the toughest, most rewarding job I’ve ever had.
Since this is the “about me” section, I suppose I should also write a little about myself. I’m in my mid thirties, have been married for 5 years, and enjoy living in the Midwest near my family. I also enjoy silly reality tv, a good romantic comedy, and proudly admit I am a shopaholic. In a previous life, I was a retail manager and a recruiting manager after earning my MBA. In what seems like a completely different lifetime, I was also a dancer, dancing with a Modern Dance Company, dancing for a professional sports team, and dancing at a theme park. Did I mention that I like to shop? Well, I do. I am obsessed with finding good bargins…mostly for my boys now. Mostly.
I’ve decided to write this blog to keep a journal of my experiences with my 3 boys. I also want to educate and spread awareness about the fetal conditions that effected my twins and led to their prematurity, namely TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome) and SIUGR (Selective Intrauterine Growth Restriction) I hope to offer education, support, and hope to anyone going through a similar experience or that has been through it already.
Within my day-to-day experiences, I’m sure I will include some fun stuff, like a great deal I’ve spotted (most likely online cause it’s hard to get out of the house with my 3 kiddos) or a picture of something crazy my kids have done, and maybe even an art project that I’ve done for their room. This blog will be messy, silly, and probably a little scattered, just like me. Having three boys is a whole new level of sleep deprivation I never thought existed.
I hope you enjoy my journey through the dirty, noisy world that is my life.
