Also, thank you to everyone who wished me and my husband a Happy Anniversary. We had a really fun night, and a really good weekend.
On Saturday, my husband and the kids went to the gym in the morning, while I tried to catch up on things around the house. Then, the twins went down for a nap, and I went and took a Ballet class. I got home, took a quick shower, and then we were off to dinner with my parents to celebrate both of our anniversaries. It was a delicious dinner, and the restaurant even brought us each a dessert with a candle in it to celebrate.
After dinner, my husband and I went to our friends’ going away party. One of my good friends is moving to California, and the other is moving to Minnesota. We had drinks, sat by this crazy fire table outside, and did some dancing back inside. We were actually out until Midnight, which is super late for us old folks.
Even though we were out late, we all got up and went to the gym in the morning. The boys did some crafts in the child care, my husband lifted weights, and I did some Zumba. I’m starting to get the hang of it, but I’m sure I still look pretty silly.
We got home, ate lunch, and then the babies went down for their nap. My husband had to work, so me and my oldest hung out. He was watching a marathon of Bob Ross, the painter, on PBS, then decided on a movie. I started and finished my book club book, We Were Liars. If you haven’t read/heard of it, it was a really fast read. It was very intense, and pretty creepy. I also stayed off the computer/Facebook most of the day, so it was a nice break….although I missed doing Sneak Peek Sunday! So, you’ll be surprised every day this week.
Speaking of surprises, remember when I told you How to get a Great Family Photo? Well, I’ve got a few preview shots for you today. Now, the quality isn’t as great as it should be because my computer is acting up. I couldn’t download the pics myself, but had to have my husband shrink and Email them to me. So, the real pictures are awesome quality…but I just couldn’t wait any longer to show you a few.
My good friend, Laura Lee, took these photos, and she did such a terrific job. If you are interested in getting your family pictures taken, I can’t recommend her highly enough. Just leave me a comment, and I will put you in touch with her!
I didn’t include my favorite portrait because we are using it as our March of Dimes Ambassador Family Photo. I wanted to leave that as a surprise for now, but here are a few of my other favorites…
Laura also got some really cute ones of my oldest, so I probably include those in a First Born Friday post.
I do have something exciting lined up for tomorrow, but as with the theme of the day it will be a……you guessed it….surprise!

I absolutely have to get family photos done this year. I just do. It’s so hard to find a weekend Matt can get off and my photographer friend is free. But we haven’t had one done in like three years and of course, now we have Penelope so it’s only fitting we get one done!
Yes! This was actually our first, but definitely won’t be our last 😉

Adorable family photos. I just can’t do Zumba. I DEFINITELY look ridiculous and I prefer traditional cardio or yoga or, even better, pilates to Zumba. 🙂
I do like Yoga too, but never have really been a fan of Pilates, even though I’m a ballet dancer. Not sure why. I never thought I’d like Zumba, but now I’m hooked 🙂
