This guy is a Preschool Graduate!
I actually can’t believe it. I was pretty sad today as I drove him to his last day. I almost started tearing up when I picked him up at the end of the day. I just can’t believe my baby is going to be in Kindergarten in the Fall. When they say time flies, they really aren’t kidding.
He had a pretty fun last day. They got to wear their swimsuits to school, and his teacher brought a kiddie pool. They played outside, ate ice cream, and had there last French class (I know. French in preschool. Who knew?) The also made these awesome shirts. It has everyone’s hand print and name on it. Sooooo cute.
Now, my son didn’t really seem sad at all. He is looking forward to all the “fun” he’s going to have at home. I think he envisions laying on the couch watching cartoons all day. Although, he did say he was going to miss playing with his friends. A few of them will be going to his Kindergarten, which is super cool, but not all. One of his closest friends lives in a neighboring town, so they won’t be in the same class. I know he’s really going to miss seeing him all the time, so we’ll just have to have some more play dates. Plus, we’ll see his teacher again when the twins are ready. I’m hoping that will be in a year…fingers crossed!
Speaking of the twins, they’ve been having fun with their new babysitter. They are not always in the best mood when I leave, but when I come home, they seem like they’ve had fun, and she says they are always good. I’m just happy she hasn’t run out screaming yet.
One last thing….I am hoping to work on some changes to the blog this weekend in terms of design, so don’t freak out if things look different. Remember to bookmark www.shanneva.com
I also am starting a new series on Monday. I’m really excited for it, and I’ll just tell you that it involves the twins. So, please come join me Monday to find out all about it.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Aw! Looks like you’re going to have a house full this summer! I can’t imagine what you have in store for us with the twins, but I’m sure it’ll be a fun time for all. (Speaking of, glad they’re doing well for the babysitter. Finding a good fit is always a challenge!)
Thank you!
