January Goals Mid-Month Check

January 13, 2016 By Shann 41 Comments

January Goals

Since it’s the 13th, I thought I would check in and see how I’m doing with my January Goals. It seems unreal to me that the month is almost half over already. Although, that’s a good thing since it’s absolutely freezing here. I think we hit a high of 5 degrees yesterday. Brrrr.

So let’s first take a look at what my January goals were.

january goals mid month

1. Get back into a routine

2. Start getting items together for the Walker and Willis Online Auction

3. Have a date night

4. Seriously try to make ANYTHING from Pinterest

5. Get a new planner for the year and get organized

6. Cross off at least one thing from my 30 things before the end of my 30’s list

We have slowly, but surely gotten back into a routine. We had a bit of a rough start, which you can read about HERE, but it’s gotten better. We haven’t missed the bus yet!!!!

I have also updated my Walker and Willis Online Auction page, which you can check out HERE. I only have a couple items so far, but I think we’re going to get a lot more…at least I’m hopeful. If you, or anyone you know, would like to donate, please email me at shanneva@yahoo.com

January goalsWe also had a date night. Hooray! It was my husband’s work’s Christmas Party. Since he is in real estate, they always wait until after the holidays for the party. It was at a really nice country club, the food was delicious, and we all had a fun time.

January goalsAnd seriously…check out that “mushroom” in the middle. How cute is that?!?! It’s a potato!!!

I also do have a planner, yet I haven’t managed to open it yet. Ugh. No Pinterest experiments, but I have crossed a few things off my 30 before the END of my 30’s list.  I’m going to do a separate post about this when I have a chance.

Just a little side note about that list…I’m not turning 30. My 30’s are ENDING. I’m super flattered that some of you think I am 29, really I am, but that is not the case.

Did you make goals this month? How are you doing so far?

I still haven’t made any goals for this year — I’m so behind!! I do have things in mind, but I haven’t written them down (which is a huge part of accountability for me!). Good luck with yours – I can’t wait to hear how it goes!

Congrats on getting some of your goals accomplished already this month! I can not live without my planner. Without it I would be completely lost. It also helps me keep all my blogging ideas in check. That mushroom is adorable made out of the potato. Can’t wait to see what else you accomplish this month!

Love your list. But I think if you try to do everything on Pinterest you will need a bigger planner. Great to have big goals that seem impossible. That is the way we succeed.

Love your goals this month and congrats on getting some already checked off! I have a pocket planner since those larger fancy ones I would buy every year never got used. I never trust my phone and have to write everything down. So glad I have one! Love have a 30 things before 30 list! I might do a 50 things before 50 one so I have more time lol.

Great job on getting through so many goals so far. I totally get you on the routine… We were almost late taking my daughter to preschool today even though we were awake TWO HOURS earlier than normal. Looks like a great date night, and OMG, the Potato-shroom is super cute. Great Job Mama, Keep up the great work.

    Hey Shann,

Glad you got your date night. I think that is so important when you have kids. I am just back from a couple of weeks of taking it easy and reading trashy books. Tomorrow I start back with my regular routine. And I am ready and looking forward to my new challenges. A new year always does that to me. Loved the post. Thank you.
