Micro Preemie Updates

I’m so happy to be able to bring you some wonderful micro preemie updates today. I try to follow-up with the beautiful fighters we meet on Micro Preemie Monday. When I read about a few homecomings, I wanted to share the happy news with you. Along with some adorable pictures.

Micro Preemie Updates, 2 of our fighters make it home

Having a lot of Faith

We first met Faith on the blog at the end of July. She was born on October 27th at just 24 weeks. Faith weighed 1 lb and 10 oz.

At the time of the post, she just had surgery to put a trach in to help her breathe. She was recovering, and doing well, but still in the hospital.

Today, she is home!!!

From her mom, Kayla:

After 314 days we came home! She’s been home a month and thriving with her 5 siblings! She came home with a trach and a vent.

Faith looks so happy, as does the entire family. I’m so very happy you are all finally reunited.

The Will to Grow

We first met William  just a little over 2 weeks ago.

He was born on July 1st at 29 weeks, weighing only 1 lb 4 oz, due to IUGR(Intrauterine Growth Restriction.)

When we met him, he had been in the NICU for 80 days, and he was working on learning to eat and grow.

Today, he is home!

Micro Preemie Updates, Will

From his mom, Heather:

He was in exactly 90 days, came home 2 days before he hit 3 months old. He’s on a few meds but no monitors or feeding help-taking all bottles like a champ!!

Micro Preemie Updates, Will

He came home at 4lbs 3oz ? He’s doing great transitioning home and we are just so overwhelmed with love for him and joy to have him here finally!! He’s got 2 guard dogs on duty. Our boxer and our shih tzu lay a few feet away from him and check on him if he cries-but both know not to stick their faces up by him! It’s amazing how they know. And if he cries and I’m not right there, both dogs will come bug me til I check on him.

Thank You

Thank you so much to everyone who reads about these amazing babies each and every Monday. We all appreciate your love and support. Look for more micro preemie updates in the future.

Please leave any comments for Kayla, Faith, Heather, Will, and all of their family below.
