Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend so far.
My little guy recovered quickly from his fever, which was good for him and for mommy.
We then spent some time with their Great-Grandma, who turns 94 this week. She’s still as feisty as ever, and I think she enjoyed seeing all her Great-Grandchildren. I also think she’s happy she just spent one loud, crazy meal with all of us. All the kids were really well-behaved until the very end when it got close to bedtime. When the whining started, that was our signal to get home, and let her enjoy the rest of her night in peace and quiet.
If the weather permits, we’ll be heading to our local Memorial Day Parade today. My kids LOVE a good parade. The music, the candy, the pretty floats, the candy, the clowns, and did I mention the candy?
(On the way home last year. Can you tell they were enjoying the licorice?!)
Well, since this is a FREE and fun family activity, it got me thinking about all the other free and cheap things we will be doing this summer. I thought that would be the perfect way to end my Money-Saving Monday series.
So, even though today is Monday, since it’s a Holiday, and even my husband is off work, I will share some fun summer activities with you tomorrow.

I wanted to go to the parade around here, which I had NO IDEA existed though I’ve lived here for over 15 years, but it’s raining. OF COURSE. :/
It was pretty overcast this morning, but we braved it. The sun actually came out for a little bit! Hope the weather cleared up for you!

Happy Memorial Day! I wish we had a Memorial Day parade! I even live in a tourist city with lakes everywhere lol.
