The number 3 and the month of April

March 19, 2015 By Shann 5 Comments

The Number 3

I’ve always liked the numbers 3 and 6.  I’m not sure why. Just have.  Now that I have 3 kiddos, the number 3 has moved into my favorite number spot.

Do you want to know another reason the number 3 has moved up?!?!  Our family team for the March of Dimes’ March for Babies has moved into the number 3 spot!!!!  We are the 3rd highest family fundraising team in the Milwaukee area!!!  That’s right, Bex’s Brave Brothers is #3!  Even though we still have a little over a month before the walk, I think we can keep this number 3 spot.  Or, maybe even move up!

Here’s why:

Eat something that’s good for you with Tastefully Simple  A lovely woman, Stephanie, (I met through helping Brooke with the Walker and Willis Walk to Fight TTTS) has volunteered to donate all her profits from this fundraising party.  Tastefully Simple is a company that sells, “…simple, delicious food.”  You can order products HERE.  Just make sure to put Shann Eva as your party host.  It runs through this Sunday, April 22nd.

Get your nails looking fabulous with Jamberry  My wonderful friend, Alexa, has volunteered to do a Jamberry fundraiser for our team.  She’s donating 100% of her profits to the March of Dimes on behalf of our team.  Alexa has her own family team, and they always raise a ton of money for the March of Dimes.  In addition, she’s made a custom nail wrap just for our team.  They will be $10 for 1 set of a manicure/pedicure.

You can learn about why Alexa walks on her blog No Holding Back.  If you’re interested in hosting your own Jamberry party, please check out Alexa’s page HERE.  She designed our nail wraps with her OWN drawings!

Buy something amazing at our Online Facebook Auction  My Online Auction for the Walker and Willis Walk to Fight TTTS was so successful this year (we donated $855!) I decided to have one for the March of Dimes.  So far, we have beautiful handmade items, such as scarves, a blanket, and a t-shirt quilt, plus we will have Younique make-up, CiCi’s pizza gift cards, and a painting by my talented husband.  The auction will take place from Wednesday, April 15th through Monday, April 20th.  You can learn more about the auction and all the fundraisers HERE.

Eat something yummy at Jose’s Blue Sombrero  On Wednesday, April 22nd, if you dine in at Jose’s Blue Sombrero at their Brookfield, WI location, 25% of your food bill will go to the March of Dimes.  It’s a great way to enjoy a dinner out while helping a great cause.  You will need to present our flyer, which I would be happy to email, mail, or hand deliver to you (as soon as I get them from their marketing dept.)

Donate, Donate, Donate and get a FREE T-shirt  If food or nails or handmade items or food is not your thing OR if you want to just support in an additional/direct way, make a donation right HERE.  With your $25 donation (or MORE,) I will send you a t-shirt.  We have some awesome sponsors, such as Team Hoffmann Real Estate and The Meal Mobile, not to mention the designer of our shirt, Ink Designs, so I can send anyone who makes a donation one of our super awesome family team t-shirts.  Just send an email to dirtandnoiseblog@yahoo.com with your size and mailing address, and the shirt is yours.

Bex's brave tshirt

Wow!  That’s a LOT going on in the month of April.  Plus, throw in my husband’s birthday, Easter, and the Waukesha Mothers of Twins Rummage Sale, I think I’ll be ready for a little break in May.

Oh wait.  My twins are turning THREE on May 4th.

See?  I knew I loved that number for a reason.

Wow, that is a LOT going on! 🙂 Good for you for being so passionate about raising money for MOD. I know how much work and effort all of this is, but we do it for the babies!
