Walking and Auctioning

Two posts in one day?!?!  I know.  I’ve gone a little crazy.

Actually, I’m trying to make better use of my time this year.  Usually, when the twins go to sleep for the night, that’s my signal to eat dinner, put on my PJ’s (who am I kidding?  I’ve been in them for hours already,) and watch some mindless TV.

Instead, I’m trying to do at least one productive thing before calling it a night.  I’ll tell you more about my resolutions, and the ones I’ve already broken very soon. First, something fantastic….

It’s time to get ready for the 2nd Annual Walker and Willis Birthday Walk to Fight TTTS.  If you’d like to learn a little more about how this walk came to be, take a look back at this post.

This year’s walk, which will also benefit the Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Foundation and our personal hero Dr. Julian De Lia,  is taking place on March 7th, 2015 in St. Joseph’s Park, St. Joseph, TN.  We will be honoring all the twins who have fought this terrible disease, both survivors and angels.  We hope to raise even more money than last year to help end Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome.

If you can’t make it in person, you can definitely still donate or organize a walk in your own city.  I even will help you get started!  Just comment on this post or send a message to dirtandnoiseblog@yahoo.com.

In addition to the actual walk, I will be holding an Online Auction to offset the costs.  Any money raised in the auction, will go toward reserving the park, food, etc.  Any money leftover, will go to the Foundation, as well.

This Walk and Auction are very important to me.  Not only would I love to see an end to TTTS, but I want to do everything I can to help my friend Brooke, mother to Walker and Willis (and Jolie, Cooper, and newest addition Champ.)
