New Blog Design
I’m loving it, and I hope you like the new blog design too.
I’ve been wanting a new blog design for a while now. I even put it on my 30 things before the end of my 30’s list. The problem? My budget. I’ve been trying to monetize my site, but it’s a process for me. Eventually, I hope to be contributing to my family’s income, but I’m just not there yet. Unfortunately, that makes my blog design budget pretty low. Luckily, I found someone to help me out.
Since starting to get serious about my blog, I’ve joined many networking groups. In one of those groups, I met Corina Ramos, who blogs at Not Now Mom’s Busy. Not only does Cori blog about parenting, but she also writes about ways to monetize your blog, and where to find work from home. She is very knowledgeable in both areas, and gave me lots of great information. She also runs a Facebook Group called Blogging for a Living.
In that group, everyone shares a lot of great information, as well as posts, on how to improve your blog. Cori also mentioned she started a business to design websites and blogs on a budget. As soon as I read that, I knew I’d found who was going to help me with my new blog design.
Cori started her business as a way to help small businesses and bloggers have great looking websites at a low cost. She did a fantastic job with my site, and let me tell you the best parts about working with her.
It was so easy to talk with Cori about what I wanted. I knew I wanted something more professional, I wanted a new logo, and I wanted more focus to be on the posts, not the side bar ads. Cori asked questions, and really listened to all of my answers. She was always easy to get in touch with, and always had answers and suggestions for me. I was even able to send her examples of sites that I liked, colors that I wanted, and fonts that I used.
Cori discussed my blog schedule with me, then we decided on a time that would work for both of us for her to start the design process. While she was working, my site was in maintenance mode, so she looked for the best possible time for my site to be down. She estimated that it would take 5 days at the most. It ended up taking less than 2 full days. She worked so fast!
3. Trouble shooting
Before she started the design process, I needed to make her an administrator on my site…and I had no idea how to do that. She walked me through that, as well as how to put my site in maintenance mode (which I also didn’t know how to do.) She helped me get the right plugins, and answered all my questions.
Anything I didn’t like or wanted to change, Cori helped me. She was so easy to talk to, and open to what I was looking for that it made it easy. I know that if I ever have a problem, I can ask her, and she will help me out.
Just look at the site! Not only did she make my site look more professional, but she designed my logo for me. I’ve been searching for one and just never found the right fit. This one is perfect. She also helped me make all of my Social Media Platforms uniform by sending me the images.
Overall, I am so happy with my new look, and would highly recommend Cori and her company, Quality Websites on a Budget. She made the process so easy, and the results are exactly what I wanted.
