Vacation
We’re home! That was a fast vacation, right?
If you read my Road Trip Ready post yesterday, it probably seemed like we hadn’t left yet….but we did. I wrote all of my posts ahead of time, so we could enjoy our road trip to the Walker and Willis Birthday Walk to fight TTTS.
We had a very eventful vacation. I’ll have some more details in a few days, but I will say that traveling in a car with 3 boys was quite challenging…but we all survived! There were some tears, lots of laughs, and very little sleep had by all.
So, while we’re working to get out of vacation mode and back into our daily routine, I thought I would share some of my favorite pictures from one leg of our trip. Really, the most important part, and the reason for our trip.
We drove through 5 states and stayed in 4 of them. Starting in WI, we went through Illinois, stayed in Louisville, KY, stayed in Florence, AL, stayed in Nashville, TN, stayed in Indianapolis, IN, and drove back through IL to get home to WI. These are the pictures from my favorite part of the trip, which was the Walker and Willis Birthday walk in St. Joseph, TN (while we stayed in Florence, AL.)
It was a really important day filled with many emotions. I’m so happy we were able to attend and see some dear friends, fight for an important cause, and remember those taken much too soon.
The Pictures

Well, those were just a few of the moments from Saturday’s walk to honor Willis, Walker’s twin brother who was lost to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome. I’m so very proud of my friend Brooke, her family, and especially her son, Walker, for putting on such a beautiful tribute to Willis and all the other twins that have been lost to this horrible syndrome.
If you need any additional information on Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, you can click HERE or visit the TTTS Foundation at www.tttsfoundation.org
Please leave any birthday wishes and support to Walker and his family below. Thank you!

It looks like you had a wonderful time. PS…if you stayed in Indianapolis and drove through Illinois (depending on your route) it’s possible you drove right past where I live!
