Accomplishments
Sometimes they’re big, and sometimes they are small, but today I’m celebrating all the accomplishments of the week. Since I’m exhausted, I’m going to get right to it.
5 Wins/Proud moments/Good things for the week
1.Starting a healthy eating challenge
Did I mention I started the Whole30? Yeah. Probably like a million times. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) it’s going to be a pretty regular topic on the blog for the next 20 something days. It’s such a big change, plus it takes a lot of time and brain power for me, so I may need to hash some of it out on the blog. Or share my wins. Or share my frustrations. I promise, though, I will try to limit it to just Thursdays. If you want the everyday updates, you can join my Facebook Group.
2.Cooking for my family
Before starting said challenge, I made my family a spinach lasagna, made the boys french toast, and hard-boiled a ton of eggs. Since they are not going to be excluding anything from their diets, I wanted to make sure they were fed too. Since I’m not a big cook, this made me happy that I did something ahead of time.
3.Good behavior from the twins
After the “bedroom disaster” the twins have been hit or miss with their behavior. However, at the gym yesterday, I got the biggest complement. The woman at the childcare told me they played so nicely with each other, and even were hugging each other. If only there was a hidden camera so I could see this sweet behavior.
4. Season Finales
My dance performance signaled the end of the dance semester, my last twin club meeting is tonight, and the season finale of Scandal was on last night. I haven’t watched it yet, as it’s my Friday night ritual on Hulu, so no spoilers please. I’m only happy about these things ending because it means summer is on its way and fast! Can’t wait for a new dance class, summer get togethers with my twin mommy friends, and new TV shows.
5. Sleep
I’ve been successful in getting the twins to nap again. Although, it means one goes in their own bed, and one has to lay in mine. I also have to lay down, and usually fall asleep. Sleep is good for you, though, right?
So, nothing too fancy, but those were my accomplishments this week. I’m hoping for some nicer weather, adjusting to my new meal plan, and getting to sleep in one day this weekend. What did you accomplish this week? What are you looking forward to this weekend?
