This will be a short post since it’s way past my bedtime. Who am I kidding? It’s really the only time I get to watch adult TV, and I’ve been rationing out new episodes of Orange is the New Black on Netflix. Plus, there’s all those seasons of Madmen to catch up on.
I just wanted to share a few thoughts and give a reminder about a fundraiser tomorrow night.
FIRST, I’d like to say a great big thank you to metroparent magazine. I contribute a blog as part of their “Kitchen Table Blogs,” and tonight I got to meet all the other fabulous women who blog there too. It was really inspiring and just plain fun to be in a roomful of intelligent, funny, and friendly women. Plus, there was pizza! I’m excited about being part of this great publication, and think there’s going to be a lot of great stuff coming up. So, stay tuned!
SECOND, if you are local, please consider stopping by Culver’s tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 25th. Located at 1650 E. Main St., Waukesha, WI 53186, this Culver’s shares a parking lot with Woodman’s. Just order some food between 5pm and 8pm and 10% of your purchase will benefit the Waukesha Mothers of Twins Club. No need to mention anything, and you can even just drive-thru on your way home from work. Or stop in for some custard and say hi…although not sure how long we’ll stay out since it will be past the twins’ bedtime. Whatever you can work into your schedule and budget will be greatly appreciated. Our club likes to do things to help the community, and this will help out. Just this spring, we delivered baskets of “twin themed” books to the NICU at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, and read stories at Martha Merrill Bookstore. We also hold 2 annual rummage sales, where you can get some great bargains on anything and everything your kids may need.
Also, if you are part of a local club or organization, I highly recommend calling Culver’s and hosting your own fundraising night. Not every Culver’s is the same, but the Waukesha location, where we are hosting, has a really nice manager who made it super easy. It basically just involved 5 minutes on the phone with a calendar. Leave me a comment, and I can help you out.
Mmmmmm…..I can already taste the Butterburger!

That’s a really great thing for you guys to do. I would suggest a purchase of books for moms who lose a twin in the NICU or at delivery (or even in utero.) It’s called “Always My Twin” and has been such a great help to me after losing one of my girls in the NICU.

Thank you! That is such a good idea, and I will be sure we include some next time.
