Dinnertime: The witching hour, and how to deal

Dinnertime

Dinnertime is a struggle in our household. Everyone is cranky…mom included. It’s been a long day, everyone is tired, and no one agrees on anything…especially what to eat for dinner. Sometimes mom is just too tired to deal with it, and way too tired to cook something.

Going out to eat doesn’t sound like a great idea either. Getting everyone in the car, fighting at the table, and being out in public? Not fun. Plus, going out to eat ends up being pretty expensive.

Besides just heating up something from the freezer, what else can you do?

How to deal when dinnertime becomes the witching hour

Delivery!

The Cheapest Option

Delivery is not necessary cheap either. As you know, I’m big on saving money, so we don’t do delivery unless I can find a deal. I love to find coupons for free delivery or extras that come with our meal.

Now, there’s Bootler!

With Bootler, you can compare delivery options, find the best price, and get your food as fast as possible. With little ones, fast is important!

Bootler is a search engine, and not a delivery service itself, so it helps you compare different delivery services and find the cheapest price. You type in the restaurant, and it will give you the delivery services, speed of service, and price. Super simple and convenient!

For example, if I was looking for pizza from Coalfire Pizza, I simply type in the name Coal Fire Pizza Delivery, and they give me delivery services, time, and price.

Bootler Now

Right now, Bootler is only in Chicago, but they are expanding to New York before the end of the year, and other major cities (like Milwaukee!) very soon. They work with 6 major delivery services for food, and even work with a delivery service for alcohol too. You know this mommy likes her wine!

If you are in Chicago, check out their mobile app, or visit their Facebook Page or follow them on Twitter.

How do you handle your dinnertime? Is your house as crazy as mine?

Sounds like a good program. I’m glad there are more services out there like this one.

Sounds like a neat service! I hope they come near me. We recently started having our groceries delivered through Peapod and it’s so convenient – such a time saver and I think it’s getting me to not only save money but eat healthier too! Though I can always go for some pizza once in awhile 😉

Bootler sounds amazing! I am excited to see how it does in major cities. Major plus – they partner with alcohol companies too!! That’s awesome!
