Have you heard of House Party? It’s a pretty cool site where you apply to host a party and try a new product. In exchange for completing a few activities, like taking some pictures, filling out a report, and having a party, they send you some cool, free stuff. Did I mention that you get to have a party and get free stuff?!
It’s free to sign up on their website, and the only thing left to do is to apply to host a “party.” The application process basically consists of filling out a short survey to see if you are right for trying out a new product. I’ve applied for many different parties, and got picked for quite a few too. You won’t always get picked for every party, but there are always new things coming up. Within the House Party site, there is also something called Chatterbox. You can read about my Chatterbox experience here.
Now back to the topic at hand…The latest party I was selected for was Mezzetta products. Are you familiar with Mezzetta? I wasn’t very familiar, so I was pretty excited when my box arrived. Inside, there were Red Mezzetta tote bags for each guest, coupon/recipe cards, an apron and olive spoon for me, and a $20 gift card to buy Mezzetta products. Pretty cool, right? Here’s some of what I got:
(Pimento Stuffed Olives and Martini Olives not pictured because they went into drinks and little mouths before I could take a picture, as you can see)
We decided to make it a family party, with drinks for the adults and pizza making for everyone. The olives were delicious in the martinis, and everyone liked how they could make their individual pizzas with ingredients such as sun dried tomatoes, roasted bell peppers, and even sweet banana peppers. They really made something as ordinary as pizza into something gourmet (which was especially fun for those of us who are not big cooks.)
It was a really fun, delicious afternoon/evening. Everyone got to leave with a bag, coupons, and a full belly.
As I mentioned earlier, I did receive the Mezzetta products for free, but the opinions are all mine.
