I fell off the exercise train a couple weeks ago. I was doing really well for a while, then I’m not sure what happened. Well, life happened.
It all starts so innocently. One night, I have to run some errands when my husband gets home from work, instead of heading down to the basement to do a workout tape. The next, I’m just too tired. Fast forward to today, and I haven’t worked out for weeks.
When I stop exercising, other things go too. I don’t have the motivation to eat well, and things just start piling up. Like laundry.
I also have been slacking in the writing department. Sorry!
I am working on getting my motivation back. How?
For starters, I did something to make myself feel good. I went and got my hair colored and cut, which I haven’t done for…hmmmm…I can’t remember the last time. It may not be much, but it’s a start.
I’ve also been working on the laundry pile. We’re heading to Twins Days at the end of the week, and we need clothes to take with us, so that helped motivate me a little.
I know that I’ll be busy packing and getting ready for the trip, so I’m going to be realistic with myself, and not be too disappointed in myself if I don’t work out yet. I’ll have no excuses when we get back. Well, there are always excuses, but I’m going to try my hardest not to make them.
So, tell me, how do you get your motivation back? Seriously, how?
