Sick and Sorry

February 14, 2016 By Shann 17 Comments

Sick for way too Long

As many of you know, I got hit with a stomach bug last week, and I’ve been sick ever since. It’s like the never-ending yucky feeling. Ugh.

It started in the middle of the night last Monday, was the worst on Tuesday, and has gotten better since….but I’m still not 100%.

I’m not sure if I caught it from my oldest, who got sick in the middle of the night the week before, but then felt OK the next day. That was followed by my husband, who got sick on a Saturday night, but then was better after two days.

Food isn’t appealing. Even my favorite Chai tea with cashew milk tastes terrible. I haven’t worked out for a week, and my pajamas have become my uniform. Sorry yoga pants.

I’ve been getting plenty of rest and forcing liquids, but still “the yuck” sticks around.

still sick

My apologies

So, I wanted to say sorry because I haven’t been around much on the blog or much on social media at all.  My twins’ new phrase is, “Mommy, you not feel good?”

I’m also sorry I haven’t answered any comments, haven’t been reading many other blogs, or doing much of anything but what I need to get by.

I have been reading all the comments, reading all the well wishes, and really appreciate you all continuing to follow along when I have put something up. It really has been making me feel a little better, and I don’t want you to think I don’t appreciate the thoughts/comments.

I’ve also been very lucky that my parents and my husband’s parents and my husband have been really stepping up and taking care of the boys.

Coming up

I have so many things that I want to share with you….my new job, my attempt at meal planning, and an update on my goals. I hope that tomorrow is the day I’m finally feeling like myself again.

I know my family is hoping so too. I’m not the most pleasant patient.

So, thank you for sticking with me! It means so much!

I’ll leave you now with a dose of cuteness, which always makes me feel a little better no matter what.

Feel better! The stomach bug is famous for hitting everyone in the family and hanging on for dear life! Keep cleaning and washing hands and it will be gone soon.

Aw feel better Shann! That is the worst feeling in the world! My son has pink eye right now and I just spent 2 hours at the walk in clinic – ugh. Hoping for a healthy coming week!

Awww, I’m so sorry to hear you have been feeling under the weather 🙁 And please don’t ever feel the need to apologize! It happens–in the meantime, focus on the recovery and your wellbeing first. Here’s hoping you feel better soon and that you can hang out with your adorable little munchkins. Holy heck, are they ever cute. XOXO
