Yesterday, me and my family had the amazing opportunity to see/meet Baby T! Who is Baby T, you ask?
He’s one of the Dinosaurs from Walking With Dinosaurs, which will be at the BMO Harris Bradley Center next week.
As a part of the metroparent blogging team, I was invited to the special event yesterday at Southridge Mall, and we’re also invited to opening night next week. My oldest is beyond excited, and I have to say, after yesterday, I’m pretty excited too.
Initially, I wasn’t sure what to think. Would the Dinosaurs look real or would they be really mechanical? I watched Baby T in a clip beforehand, but it didn’t prepare me for what he would look like up close and personal. I was really impressed!
Baby T was truly amazing to look at. We learned that the Dinosaurs are all handmade, and take hours upon hours of work, which is definitely evident. They look very real, and his movements were so fluid and life-like, I almost forgot there was a person helping move him around.
The crowd that gathered at Southridge really loved Baby T. Both adults and kids alike were laughing, screaming, and taking tons of pictures. During the demonstration, my son got to go out and even give him a little pet. Don’t worry kids, Baby T is a friendly guy. Although, he does make some screaching noises that would rival my little guy’s.
As a special birthday treat, I’m taking just my oldest to the opening night of the show next week. While I think the twins would love to see all the Dinosaurs in the theater setting, the show starts a little past their bedtime. So, me and the birthday boy will have a special date!
If you’d like to join us, you can get 10% off your tickets by using the Passcode STEGO at Ticketmaster.com. There are 8 shows here in Milwaukee, running from October 15th through the 19th.
Stay tuned for my review of the full show next week.
In the meantime, I’m getting prepared for my soon-to-be 5 year old’s birthday party. I’ll be sharing a sneak peak of the decorations and gift bags Friday!
