Wow. Getting ready for this rummage sale, I had no idea how much stuff I had saved…or actually bought in the first place. I don’t even think I’m going to be able to fit everything in my car in one trip. Oh boy. Please don’t call Hoarders!
Plus, as I went through boxes and tubs, I found things I still couldn’t part with…yet. There are certain outfits that bring back good memories or that toy they really loved. I will probably get rid of most of it at some point, but I’m just not ready yet.
I think it’s ok to keep some sentimental stuff, and even some not so sentimental stuff. As long as it’s not taking up too much room or collecting too much dust. Or as long as my husband doesn’t get too annoyed.
And I’ve got plans for some of it. I really, really want to make a quilt with all of their old pajamas, once I learn how to quilt. Or sew, for that matter. I also still have to work on scrapbooks for each. When I finish those things, in about 5 to 10 years, I will purge again. I promise. Really.
As for now, I’ve got a ton of stuff for the Rummage tomorrow and Saturday, so please come and buy, buy, buy. I promise not to cry too much. Kidding. Sort of.
