5-year-old Twins
I never imagined I would have 5-year-old twins. Or twins at all, for that matter.
I will never forget that day in my doctor’s office when she told me.
“Do you see that?” she asked.
“Yes. Is that the heartbeat?”
“Yes. And do you see that?” she asked.
“Um. Isn’t that the heartbeat?”
“Yes, but it’s the second heartbeat. It’s twins!” she said with a little laugh.
Shock. Amazement. Happiness. Tears. Hands down the best moment of my pregnancy.
As you know, to say my pregnancy was difficult would be an understatement. The day I delivered, I was terrified. But, once I found out they had been delivered, that they were both alive, the relief and happiness was immense.
While this day will always be mixed with emotions for me, I want my twins to always celebrate it with pure joy. They are truly miracles. They fought to get here, fought through 3 months in the NICU, and continue to amaze me every day.
And drive me crazy every day. Two times as wild, two times the arguments, and two times the trouble-making. Also, two times the love, two times the laughter, and two times the mischief. Did I mention the trouble they get into already?! They are also silly, stubborn, playful, wild, and hilarious. The conversations they have with each other at night make me and my husband laugh out loud. One night we need to record them.
Until then, I asked them this birthday quiz, on the eve of their 5-year-old birthday.
The Birthday Quiz
I asked both boys these questions while we were riding in the car on the way home from Physical Therapy. They kept wanting me to ask them more questions, so don’t feel obligated to read all the way to the end. I just want to remember what they liked, since I feel like my memory is getting worse by the hour.

I’ll admit I was looking for them to say each other. Oh well. We’ll see what they have to say next year.
Happy, happy birthday my 5-year-old twins! I hope you have the best year!

They are absolutely darling in their respective ways- I love that they have different likes. My son is best friends with triplets and they are completely different. Their personalities are totally different. Like whoa! And I always thought that twins and triplets would be so similar. See…I learned so much through them! Anyways, I am wishing both of these beautiful boys a very happy birthday and so much more. I think 5 was one of my funnest years with my boy. His adventurous side really shone that year!

Happy birthday boys! I could not imagine having twins with the meltdowns I have seen from my one 3 year old! Bless you momma! I love this quiz though! It will be so much fun to look back on their answers when they are older!
