It’s been a loooooong week over here. I have NOT been sticking to my goal of going to bed every night by 10:15, so I’ve been pretty tired. We’ve also had someone stumbling into our bed in the middle of the night, every single night. How is it that someone so small can take up so much room?
All the boys have a bit of a summer cold. Summer and Cold should not go together. So, we’ve been chasing runny noses all week. Yesterday, my oldest said his throat hurt, and he had a bit of a fever, so he spent most of the day on the couch. He’s a little better today, but we might be visiting the doctor before the weekend is up.
In happier news, today was the last day of Summer School. I think my son had a great time, but I will be happy the drop-off/pick-up is done with. There really must be a better system. Hopefully, I’ll find someone to carpool with next summer.
It’s also been a lot hotter here this week. We’ve been able to take a couple walks, and our backyard has been transformed.
My husband sells real estate, and one of his buyers did not want the Swing Set that came with their house. As long as he took it apart, and hauled it off, it was ours. So awesome!
It’s been sitting in the backyard waiting for some kind souls to come and help put it together. Our neighbors and my Dad volunteered, then my husband stained it, and added some lights. Plus, we brought the playhouse (that has been in our basement since the boys got it for Christmas) outside too. It’s really looking cool, and I think the kids are going to have fun with it.
We have a busy weekend. Tonight we’re heading to my husband’s family party, then on Sunday we have our Summer Party for the Twins Club. I’ll be sharing a post all about the Club later this week.
We also start swimming lessons for all three on Monday, so wish us luck. I’m bringing our babysitter with us because you need one adult per twin. So, look for a blog post about that too.
Of course, we’ll be meeting a new family on Micro Preemie Monday, then finally reaching the Third Trimester in First Born Fridays.
I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who follows along on Facebook. Our page hit 1000 likes this week. What an awesome milestone! If you haven’t visited the page yet, you can check it out right HERE.
Have a great Saturday! What fun things are you doing this weekend?

Summer colds are the worst! I hope your boys feel better soon. We had one of our hottest days this week but then again summer in TX is always hot. That swing set looks like a lot of fun! I’m 29 and I’d still want to play on it. Lol. Congrats on getting 1000 likes on your fb page! Hopefully soon I’ll have a fb page but right now everything in the blogging world is overwhelming me slightly. This weekend I’m going to try to relax. Have a great rest of your weekend!

I totally understand. Enjoy your weekend.

Swingsets = A Boy’s Best Friend, they will have a ball! I had one when I was a kid, that was about half the size of that one, and my brother and I spent hours on the thing! Keep them young!

I love the swingset, especially with the lights! I’m already thinking about buying one and my daughter is only 15 months old! It’s a little too early (and we want to wait until we get a house), but I love seeing pictures like this as inspiration. 🙂
Also, congrats on 1000 facebook likes, I’m still working on 250. I’m about to head over to your page right now!

I love the swingset! We don’t have a backyard for one so we are constantly visiting playgrounds in the area but with my busy boys we could sure use one. Swimming lessons should be fun!

Congratulations on your 1000 Facebook likes, my fan page has just reached past the 500 mark I am half way there. I had so much fun with swimming lesson when I was younger that next summer that is what we will be doing. I was going to sign my daughter up this summer but we had so much going on that this summer we had decided to just keep it lazy and simple. We have gone swimming and I teach her myself but I think she’s ready for a class next year for sure.
Shann says
Yes, I’m excited and a little anxious for tomorrow. And congrats on the 500!

My granddaughter has a summer cold right now too. She thinks tissues are imperative and takes two and three at a time for her nose that is the size of a button. 😉

Ha ha! So cute. Sorry she’s sick too. No fun in the summer.
