Tomorrow is the big day. I’ve been begging, bugging, and pleading for donations for the March of Dimes for the past couple months, and the March for Babies is finally here!
While not all of my fundraisers were complete successes, I am so grateful for the overwhelming support our family team got this year. We raised over $2000, which was our goal. Woo Hoo!
My husband is picking up our T-shirts today, and I’m super excited to see how they turned out.
If you know me, or have read any of my party posts, you know I love a good theme. Last year for our family team, we went with a “Superman” theme because the name of our team is Bex’s Brave Brothers. Here’s our shirts and a pic from last year:
This year we went with a “Star Wars” theme. My oldest is a bit obsessed with Star Wars, and even though Darth Vader isn’t exactly a good guy, he sure does like to fight. Since my preemie twins certainly had to fight to become the healthy boys they are today, we figured this would work. Plus, they were born on May 4th. Have you heard how they celebrate May 4th now? “May the Fourth Be with You.” Perfect. Here’s a sample of what our shirts will look like:
I can’t wait to post a picture of our team in our shirts. However, the forecast isn’t looking so great. I’m hoping they are wrong about the rain/snow. Come on! It’s almost May! But, sigh, it’s Wisconsin. What can you expect?
So, look for a picture of all of us in our winter coats, hats, and scarfs with our t-shirts squeezed on over. Next year we must get sweatshirts!
