My November Goals

November 4, 2015 By Shann 76 Comments

Hello November!

November goals? What happened?

When I was planning out this week’s posts, I completely forgot to include my November goals! It may be because I’m in denial that it’s already November, or it could just be mommy brain again. Probably a combination of both.

Goodbye October!

So, let’s see how October went first.

October Goal Wins

  • Continue going to the Gym at least 3 times per week Β Yes! I’ve been going to Ballet Mondays, Zumba Tuesdays, Barre Wednesday, then either Zumba on Thursday or Sunday too.
  • Have at least 1 Date night Yes! Not only did we go out for our 7th wedding anniversary, but we also went to a March of Dimes Fundraiser called the Signature Chefs Auction. We got lots of food and drinks, plus helped raise money for a great cause.
  • Start working on my 30 Before the end of my 30’s list Yes! #9 and #29 are done!
  • Complete the #Octoberscopers challenge No! My phone still does not like the Periscope app for some reason.
  • Do 2 guest posts and have some great guest posts on the blog Halfway Complete. I interviewed Serene Mom, and also guest posted on her blog.
  • Get my Blog page views up to July’s stats No. I did go up from September, but still not as high as July.
  • Throw a fantastic 6th Birthday Party Yes! See Here, Here, Here, and Here
  • Have a Happy Halloween Yes! See HERE

Now for November

November is Premature Birth Awareness Month, which is a cause very close to my heart. I’m going to be focusing a lot of my blog and goals towards spreading awareness, and I hope you’ll join me.

November goals
November Goals

  • Share a fact or some type of information about Premature Birth every day

  • Volunteer to do some events with the March of Dimes to spread awareness

  • Have more F-U-N with my kids

  • Do some Thanksgiving Crafts

  • Try to make something from Pinterest

  • Complete some type of Fitness Challenge

So, there you have it. My November goals. I really hope to complete them all, and I need your help more than ever. November 17th is World Prematurity Awareness Day, so I’ll be asking you all to please wear Purple and send me pictures any time before that date. They can be old pictures, pictures of your kids, pictures of your parents, any pictures of people in purple! I’d love to make a collage and post it on the blog, so please post your pictures on my FB Page or send me a message with them to shanneva@yahoo.com.

Have you thought of any goals for November? Tell me about them!

I don’t really make monthly goals like this (outside of my editorial calendar) but this was really inspiring! I think in November I would like to dedicate more time to rest and yoga (which got lost in the mess of October) and stick to the three blog challenges I signed myself up for. Maybe even sign up for a fitness challenge!

Good for you for getting to the gym! Sounds like you had a really great month. My goal is to work out 4 times a week instead of 3 times a week like I did last month…it’s so hard on those busy days though!

How is Zumba going? I’ve always wanted to try it but I have a pretty severe back problem, so not sure it would be good for me. Congrats on 7 years without killing your spouse! That’s always amazing! Lol πŸ˜‰

Hahahah…it is pretty amazing. As for Zumba, I have a bad lower back and it sometimes hurts during the class because there are lots of hip/lower back movements. You’d have to be pretty careful.

How do you like the Barre classes? I really want to sign up for some but the price is well…not cheap. I wish my gym offered some of those classes. I have been trying to work out at least 3 times a week. I’m doing good so far this week. I would love to have a guest post/do a guest post on my blog or another blog. I think it’s a great way to get to know other bloggers and network with them. I can’t wait to see more of your posts on facts about premature birth. Good luck on your goals this month! And the value of date night when couples have kids is so valuable for now and further into the future. I have guest posting goals as well. Shann you really do fit so much into your week – hope the kids party was great. I support your cause – thanks for this post – you have just motivated me to get stuck into some exercise.

Good luck with all your goals this month! A blog is great to be able to focus on your platform. After my daughter’s Traumatic Brain Injury, I used it a lot to promote Child Abuse Awareness, Shaken Baby Syndrome Awareness, Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness and The Spread the Word to End the R Word campaign. It is very therapeutic and empowering. My daughter doesn’t like me bringing up what happened to her anymore, so I respect it and no longer use it as my platform.
