Rained out and Cleaning up

It was a rotten day here today.  Rainy, cold, and just plain miserable.  Even though we’re in the last days of May, it sure doesn’t feel like it.  I hope this isn’t an indication of the weather we’ll be having this summer!

My husband was supposed to take my oldest son to an outdoor movie, but even without the rain, it was just too cold.  There are a lot of places having outdoor movies this summer, so hopefully another one will work out.

Even though it was raining, me and my mom braved the outlet mall.  There’s not much that will stop me and my mom from shopping.  Since I’m cleaning out my own closet (more on that in a minute,) I didn’t buy anything for myself.  Of course, I found stuff for the boys.

Do you remember my post about throwing a theme birthday party on a budget?  Well, since I’ve already picked the theme for my son’s 6th birthday, I’ve been on the hunt for any and everything Star Wars.  The timing actually worked out perfectly, since the new movie is coming out soon.  It was also the theme for our March of Dimes Family Team this year.

Anyways, first my mom found these awesome T-shirts at the Adidas outlet.  Adidas and Star Wars?  I didn’t know either. AND they were buy 1, get the second 50% off.

Then we went to the Stride Rite Outlet and I found ONE Thomas Rain coat on sale (which will be perfect for this weather,) and these cool shoes for my oldest.  Of course, the didn’t have three of anything the same, but I’m off to shop Online after I finish writing.

Now, back to the part about cleaning out my closet…So, as I sit here typing this post, I am in our basement.  We’ve been moving our computer around the house, and haven’t found a good spot yet.  It was first in the living room, then in the kitchen for a while, and then it was in our playroom.  Since we turned the playroom more into an adult sitting room, we wanted it out of there.  Our computer is a laptop, however, it is so old and fragile, it can’t be moved around.  If it could, I would be sitting in bed typing instead.  Or on the couch with my son and husband, as they watch Monsters Inc.

The newest spot and only other spot we can think of, is our bedroom.  I’m trying to clean out part of the closet, so we can either move a dresser in there, and have a desk where the dresser was.  Or else, I will just put the desk in part of the closet.  Did I mention we don’t have much extra space around here?  Or maybe we just have too much stuff.  So, either way, cleaning out my closet is waaaay overdue.

And with that, I’m off to clean!
