August 2016 Mid-Month Goal Check

August 16, 2016 By Shann 23 Comments

August 2016

We’ve hit the middle of the month already! Can you believe half of August 2016 is over? I really can’t. We’ve had a very busy month, and we’ve still got a lot to squeeze in.

So, let’s take a little look back on what we’ve done so far, and how we’ve done on our goals this month.

august 2016

As a reminder, I kept August 16 pretty simple:

  • Finish July Goals
  • Finish our Summer Bucket List
  • Check some items off my 30 Before 40 List
  • Get to the Gym at least 3 times a week

Goal Check

To finish up July, I needed to:

  • Make our hotel reservations for Vegas (check!)
  • Finish the Summer Session Strong with my Dance class (So far, so good…one more class to go!)
  • Potty Training Boot camp (The dates have been set!)

So, I would say we’re looking good for goal number 1.

Our Summer Bucket List is going great. I had made a list for the family, and a list for me and my husband. For the family, we have only 1 or 2 things left. Me and my husband’s list? Not so good. I think we’ve only checked off 1 item. I’m going to do a full update next week, but here are a few pics from our summer fun.

august 2016

The bottom 2 pictures are from the Twins’ 4th NICUversary party. More pictures and info on that later this week!

I have 5 more things knocked off my 30 Before 40 list, and I’ll share an update on the entire list soon.

I’ve also been to the gym 3 times each week this month! These last couple weeks are going to be a challenge, but I’m determined to make it happen.

August is going great, and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the month finishes up.

How is your month going? Have you set any goals for yourself?

I had some setbacks in my goal to cross off bucket list items but I have new dates scheduled for accomplishing this. Love that you check in mid-month!

You still have plenty of time to complete your goals for the month. I have no doubt you’ll get all them done. Love those cute pics of the NICUversary ❤

I can’t believe we’re half way through August. My summer bucket list is going ok. We tried going to a drive in movie this past weekend but it was sold out. I didn’t know that drive ins sell out. So we’ll have to plan better if we want to make that one. I still haven’t been to a farmers market this year either. But I have a list of 20 near me so I just need to pick one that I can get to. The state fair is coming up so that is one end of the summer thing to look forward to.

I love the idea of a mid-point goal check! I had to look over my goals last week to remind myself to stay on track. You are doing so great with your goals, too! I cannot wait to see what all you accomplish in full for August! Keep up the great work!

Congrats on your achievements! Checking off the majority of the family list is a huge accomplishment in itself – it’s ok that you haven’t done much on your own! I’m sure you are very busy with a family and all that gym time PLUS blogging! 🙂 I am not doing too hot on my August goals but I also was very ambitious when I made them and forgot about all of the school prep I needed to do as well. 😛 Oops.

I often think about setting goals but never make the steps to put them down on paper and make them a reality this is a good motivator. Also congratulations on working out three days a week I too am working on getting back in shape I might need to set some goals to keep me on track
