It’s been a crazy few days. Since Thursday, I’ve put in over 40 hours. It may not seem like a lot to all you full-time working folks out there, but this Momma is exhausted! Most of those hours are spent on my feet. I’m used to being up, but usually not in one spot. I mean really how long does a two year old stay in one place?!
Today is finally my day off. We have a super fun day planned. Can you tell I’m being a little sarcastic? It’s nice to be home with the kids, but we don’t get to just relax. It’s 5-year-old check-up day, and flu shot day for everyone else. Let’s just say I’m not going to be very popular in a few hours. However, it’s important to get it done. Flu season is upon us, and my little guys need all the protection they can get.
It’s also supposed to get super duper cold this week. A “polar vortex” (whatever that means) is sweeping in. All I know is our electric bill is going to sky rocket, and no one will be going anywhere unless they have to. Got to love “Fall” in Wisconsin.
With all this work, the month of November is just flying by. We’ve already been discussing our holiday plans. Ugh.
I absolutely love to get together with family (most of the time,) but holidays are stressful. During the isolation years, it was actually more relaxing because we didn’t have to decide where to go. Now, we have to carefully plan out our time so we get to see both families while still allowing for some kind of nap and bedtime routine. More on that at a later date…
As for now, it’s time to get everyone fed, diaper changed, dressed, and excited about our adventure. I’m going to have to bring some suckers as a bribe. Plus, they get to see me get a shot! Woo Hoo!

I think I’ll be feeling your pain soon…might have to start working a 40/hr/week job soon….and not sure I can handle it.
