April
April 1st is tomorrow. How did that happen? Less than 30 days until the March for Babies!
It’s finally starting to feel like Spring, we’re making some family changes, and it’s time to share my April goals with you.
First, let’s take a look back at March (hint…I rocked it!)
March
Here’s what happened in March:
1. Get all my donations lined up for my March of Dimes Online Auction, which takes place March 30th
Yes! The Auction is happening right now! Get over HERE and bid on some awesome items until Tuesday morning. Paypal or credit card accepted. All proceeds benefit the March of Dimes.
2. Do a St. Patrick’s or Easter Craft with the kids
Yes! It was very last minute, but we did do an Easter Craft with the boys. We cut out Easter eggs and made paper baskets. We also dyed Easter eggs. That counts as a craft, right?
3. Have another Date Night
No. Unless family night at the hockey game counts (minus the puking incident, of course)
4. Increase my cardio endurance and water intake
Yes! I am back to my regular gym schedule, and then some. I’ve already been there three times this week, and am probably there right now as you’re reading this. I’ve also been cutting back on my ice tea intake, and drinking plain water.
5. Check 1 or 2 things off my 30 before 40 List
Yes! #11 and #24 Done
6.Do some fun family activities
Yes! We road tripped, spent time with friends at the Walker and Willis Birthday Walk to Fight TTTS, read across America, went to a hockey game (again, minus the puking,) spent Easter with family, and had a dance party in the living room.
April Goals
1.Continue to fundraise and meet our Goal for the March of Dimes March for Babies
2.Go on a date night
3.Cut back on sugar in preparation for healthier eating in May (I’m thinking I might try the Whole 30)
4.Really work on the Family Changes I wrote about in this post
And that’s it! It’s actually a lot of work, so if I can just make some progress in the last two I’ll be happy. Numbers 1 and 2 are non-negotiable.
What are your goals for the month? Will you help me meet #1 by donating HERE or sharing my auction page link, https://www.facebook.com/2016Auction ?
Good for you for tracking those goals! Date night is a must, and family hockey games do NOT count!
I know 🙁 This month for sure 🙂
I love the ideas of having general monthly goals. I need to start doing this! Date night would probably be something we fail at as well! Ugh… and…. easter eggs totally count as a craft 😉
I think so too. Hope you get a date night soon.
I love how you sum up your month and then move on to the next! I’d like to try the Whole 30 too!
Let me know if you do. We could get a support group together.
Congrats on completing most of your March goals! It looked like it was a busy month for you! Maybe you could slot in some ‘me time’ in April?! Good luck with your goals for the following month!

My me time is usually the gym, but maybe 🙂
Puking at the hockey game totally does not count as a date night 🙂 better luck for April, Shann! I’m so impressed with all of your success on your March goals and look forward to hearing how April’s go.
🙂 Thanks Lindsay!
You crushed March! And high five for cutting down your sugar/increasing your water intake. That’s HUGE for improved health. Keep on being amazing, and make sure to prioritize a date night in April 🙂
Thank you so much!
I am so excited to hear the results of your auction. It’s such a great cause and I bet you do really well. Maybe after you can find time for that date night?
Yes, I hope so. Thank you!
Those Easter baskets are super cute! We didn’t get a date night either, so I’m crossing my fingers for one this month. 🙂
I hope you get one!
Good luck with your April goals Shann.
Thank you!
You’ve got a lot planed for April, there is no doubt in my mind you’ll reach all these goals and some.
Thank you so much Leslie.
Definitely go on a date night. You need to nourish your relationship. My husband and I really work on date night and if it is too busy we take time to walk the dog and no talking about kids or work. 🙂 Oh and check out my 24-hour mini detox that I have for free. You might enjoy the recipes as it helps you bust sugar cravings. http://www.innersavvywellness.com/spring-into-health.html
Yes, I will. Thank you!
Congrats on accomplishing your goals for last month!!! That’s awesome! You deserve a date night, so hopefully you and your husband will get to go on one soon. I’ve seen stuff about the Whole30 and it looks interesting. Good luck on your goals for April! I can’t wait to see what you accomplish!
Thank you so much Mistle.
Wow, really sounds like you got a lot done in April! If you do decide to try Whole30 I’ll be curious to hear about it. I’ve been trying to eat better myself.
I’m still a little scared of it. Need to do more reading 🙂
Best of luck!
Thank you!
Nicely done in March!! And I love how your date night for April is non-negotiable! I have been seriously considering the whole30 also. We’ll see…
Let me know if you do. We can support each other!
My April goals post is live tomorrow and date nights are on mine too!
Nice 🙂
You did a great job on your March goals and now you are ready to rock your April goals! Your Easter craft sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy your date night!
Thank you!
Congrats for rocking your goals in March! 🙂 Sounds like such a productive month. This month just FLEW by for me for some reason. I’m hoping that I can slow things down in April a bit and enjoy it and check off some big ticket to-do items. 🙂
Yes, I hope it slows down too.
Awesome job on March goals. April sounds like a great month. I’d love to do Whole 30, maybe I’ll join you in May 🙂
That would be awesome. We could support each other!
Great job rocking your March goals! Always good to set goals :]

Best of luck, Shann! I need to cut back on sugar big time! You’ve got this!
Thank you Summer!
My goals are to finish the second draft of novel #2 and get some of the prep work done for novel #3. Make less thrown-together meals. And finish up two more blankets for Covered in Love.
Nice. Those are great goals. Best of luck to you!
Wow good for you! I’m loving goal #3 – that’s where I am right now. I find the less sugar I eat, the less I crave. Now, to get my husband to stop buying sweet treats… haha
Ha! Luckily, my husband doesn’t have a sweet tooth.
Getting the gym in is so life changing! I feel like a better mom when I can get those days in! Relieves so much stress and makes playing around with little burst of energy even easier! So happy you get to go often and you still getting life in as well!! Kudos! 😀
Thank you!
Congrats on achieving so many of your goals. I totally think of dyeing Easter eggs as a craft. That is 100% legit.
Thanks! Me too 🙂
Looks like March went pretty well! Best of luck with April!
Sounds like an awesome month! I just wrote about my goals too and my march as well and also wrote about how I managed to consistently go to the gym twice a week for awhile now- once you get into the gym groove and make it your routine, it really is easier isn’t it? I was sick last week and actually MISSED the gym! lol I thought I would never say that…. *thegoodthingscomin.wordpress.com
Yes…I missed it too!
Thanks for sharing your goals! Great job on getting back on track with your fitness. That is a never-ending goal for me. 🙂
Yes, me too.
cutting back on sugar is a great goal. however, for me it would be very hard though it is something i need to do
It’s going to be super hard.
Congrats on doing awesome achieving all your March goals! I hope you can manage to go on date night this month 🙂
Me too. Thank you!
Hope you get out on your date!! Despite that it seems you were very prouductive!! Awesome!!
Thank you!
Sounds like you did really well in March – make sure you do a date night this month!!!

Thank you Monika!
Such a successful March I’d say but that last paragraph is my favorite. Dance parties are the best. Here’s to April!
Yes!
