Mid-Month Goal Check October

October 17, 2015 By Shann 66 Comments

How can we be halfway through October already?! Even though some of the days have been very, very looooooong, the month has gone by really fast. How does that happen?

I’m going to warn you now, this is not going to be a long post. Last night, I spent 2 hours in Urgent Care. My oldest son came home from school, and was very quiet. When I asked him what was wrong, he told me his ear hurt a little. I asked him how long it had been hurting, and he said since he got on the bus in the morning.

Now, let me also remind you, I was in his Art class volunteering during the day. He didn’t mention anything or act strange, so I didn’t know he wasn’t feeling good. Instead, we had to wait for my husband to get home, then head to Urgent Care at 6pm. On a Friday night.

By the time we got done, our regular pharmacy was closed, so I had to go to one in the neighboring city. My son, of course, had another ear infection, and I wanted him to have his medicine ASAP. I think the long wait (plus me telling him over and over again) will convince him to tell me right away when his ear is hurting next time. At least I hope so.

Well, enough of that. Let’s get to the post at hand. Let’s check in on those October Goals and see how I’m doing so far.

October Goals (1)

-Keep going to the Gym 3 times a week.

With the exception of this week (although I still have today!) we’ve made it! Win!

-Have at least 1 date Night.

Anniversary Dinner and going away party! Win!

-Start working on my 30 things before my 30’s End List

Fashion Post complete! Win!

-Start and Complete the #OctoberScopers Challenge

I started this out strong (for 2 days) then it became a big #Fail  The view on my screen was all distorted, and I contacted support through both email and Twitter. I got one email with another question, which I answered, then got no response again. My screen is still distorted, and it’s really distracting.  So, Periscope has been a no go.

-Do 2 Guest Posts and Have some awesome Guest Posts on the Blog

Halfway done with this! I had Danielle of Serene Mom come over to the blog to answer some questions, then got to go on her blog and answer questions for her. It was a lot of fun, and I hope you are enjoying her blog as much as I do.  If you haven’t had a chance, please read all about Danielle right HERE.

-Get my Blog Page View Up

I’ll keep you posted at the end of the month on this one

-Throw a Fabulous 6th Birthday Party  Win! See HERE

October Goals (2)

As for Goals, I think October has been a pretty good month so far. I’m still looking to try some recipes off Pinterest, Guest Post on another Blog, and maybe find a substitute challenge. Heck, maybe we’ll even sneak in another date night!

If you’d like to help me reach my Page View goal, please feel free to share this post or share my blog with your friends or family or strangers or all three.

I hope you’re having a good October so far, and a great Saturday too. Any fun plans this weekend?

Oh goodness goodness – both my girls (now young adults) had chronic ear infections! It was awful – I hope your son has a speedy recovery – and great goals and wonderful you have been going to the gym and glad you got your “date night” in! You are smart for “scheduling it in” and sticking to it!
