How can we be halfway through October already?! Even though some of the days have been very, very looooooong, the month has gone by really fast. How does that happen?
I’m going to warn you now, this is not going to be a long post. Last night, I spent 2 hours in Urgent Care. My oldest son came home from school, and was very quiet. When I asked him what was wrong, he told me his ear hurt a little. I asked him how long it had been hurting, and he said since he got on the bus in the morning.
Now, let me also remind you, I was in his Art class volunteering during the day. He didn’t mention anything or act strange, so I didn’t know he wasn’t feeling good. Instead, we had to wait for my husband to get home, then head to Urgent Care at 6pm. On a Friday night.
By the time we got done, our regular pharmacy was closed, so I had to go to one in the neighboring city. My son, of course, had another ear infection, and I wanted him to have his medicine ASAP. I think the long wait (plus me telling him over and over again) will convince him to tell me right away when his ear is hurting next time. At least I hope so.
Well, enough of that. Let’s get to the post at hand. Let’s check in on those October Goals and see how I’m doing so far.
-Keep going to the Gym 3 times a week.
With the exception of this week (although I still have today!) we’ve made it! Win!
-Have at least 1 date Night.
Anniversary Dinner and going away party! Win!
-Start working on my 30 things before my 30’s End List
Fashion Post complete! Win!
-Start and Complete the #OctoberScopers Challenge
I started this out strong (for 2 days) then it became a big #Fail The view on my screen was all distorted, and I contacted support through both email and Twitter. I got one email with another question, which I answered, then got no response again. My screen is still distorted, and it’s really distracting. So, Periscope has been a no go.
-Do 2 Guest Posts and Have some awesome Guest Posts on the Blog
Halfway done with this! I had Danielle of Serene Mom come over to the blog to answer some questions, then got to go on her blog and answer questions for her. It was a lot of fun, and I hope you are enjoying her blog as much as I do. If you haven’t had a chance, please read all about Danielle right HERE.
-Get my Blog Page View Up
I’ll keep you posted at the end of the month on this one

As for Goals, I think October has been a pretty good month so far. I’m still looking to try some recipes off Pinterest, Guest Post on another Blog, and maybe find a substitute challenge. Heck, maybe we’ll even sneak in another date night!
If you’d like to help me reach my Page View goal, please feel free to share this post or share my blog with your friends or family or strangers or all three.
I hope you’re having a good October so far, and a great Saturday too. Any fun plans this weekend?
Ear infections are so painful, I hope the antibiotics work their magic soon. Sounds like you are busy getting through your list too π
Thank you. He seems to have a chronic problem, so we have to go to a specialist. π
Some great goals! I need to set some for myself, but I’m just trying to shower and get dressed in the mornings ?
I totally understand that. Showers only happen very late at night here π
Oh goodness goodness – both my girls (now young adults) had chronic ear infections! It was awful – I hope your son has a speedy recovery – and great goals and wonderful you have been going to the gym and glad you got your “date night” in! You are smart for “scheduling it in” and sticking to it!
Ugh. It is awful. Did they have to get tubes?
Well done for completing your goals! I need to make a list like this!
Thank you!
Aww, this is awesome. Setting goals actually help you stay focussed and be more productive. I am planning to prepare monthly goal sheets too! π
Thank you. Yes, it really does help me stay more accountable.
October is half-way over, and I didn’t set any goals for the month! I’ll be on it for November! Hope your little one feels better!

I should set myself goals like this, or write them down at least to make me more accountable.
Yes! It really helps me.
Ouch.
Great job hitting your goals!
Thank you!
My daughter had an ear infection when she was two, luckily she hasn’t had it since (in three years) and her little brother has avoided them so far too. Not nice. Not nice at all. Hope it clears up soon and good luck with the rest of your goals!
Thank you so much.
Sounds you’re doing pretty well with your goals and I’m happy things worked out well with your son. I know that my kids would also wait until the last minute to let me know that they’re sick.
I’m hoping our time in the urgent care has taught him a little lesson, but probably not .
Sorry to hear about your baby…hope he is feeling better now. I am an adult and still suffer with ear problems….sigh
Oh no! So sorry to hear that .
Sigh….I am learning how to deal with it
Ugh. That’s the worst. That’s where I’m at with my acid reflux .No fun .Sorry .
LOL….yeah

Hope your son will feel better. My son and husband are not feeling well this month. It’s been more than 2 weeks.
Ugh. It seems like there is a lot of sickness going around this fall. I hope your son and husband make a full recovery soon.
I’m sorry to hear about your son’s ear infection. I hope the meds work and he feels better soon.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for reminding me to review my goals as well. I have in my list going to gym but I haven’t achieve that goal in October as well… Keep it up
π Thanks!
It seems like you’ve had a lot of celebrations so far this month! I hope your son is feeling better!
It’s really difficult when kids don’t tell you that they are hurting immediately, because you can’t act on it right away. I’m glad your son is good now and has all the meds he needs. Good job on your October list! Keep it up!
Thank you so much!
Ughhhh my daughter just had back to back ear infections! So not fun to deal with!
