Are you ready for a Vital change in the new year?
Many people look to make changes in weight and health at the start of the new year. It’s a great time to start over or reset. While I like to be healthy all year long, I’ve decided to make a vital change this month.
In the last few weeks especially, I fell off the track. I indulged a lot and really enjoyed all of the holidays. I didn’t feel guilty, but my body didn’t feel good. My clothes have become tight, and my workouts have suffered.
So, it’s time to make some changes. I want to feel good, be healthy, and have more energy. In order to do this, I’ve come up with a plan and an experiment.
It’s all about the food.
For me, my diet is the main component in managing my weight, and ultimately, my health. Yes, working out is great for my mental health and toning of my body, but it isn’t enough. I can’t just eat junk and expect to feel good. Not only do I feel uncomfortable when I gain weight, but my heartburn worsens and my blood pressure goes up. I also have less energy and more anxious.
My major problem when it comes to eating better? I love junk food. Hamburgers, chips, ice cream, and chocolate could be my four major food groups. Snacking has become a hobby. I also have a huge appetite.
I do know, however, that in order to keep my body healthy, I need to eat better, and I need to eat less. I’m not talking about only eating salads or starving myself, but instead make better choices and listen to my body more. Make sure I’m really hungry, and feed myself things that will make me feel fuller longer. Less junk and more whole foods.
Now, notice I did not say no junk. I’m not going to set myself up for failure by denying myself all of my favorite things. I just need less.
Plus, I’m going to add one important thing to my diet: Vital Proteins
What are Vital Proteins?
I’ve never been a huge proponent of supplements or vitamins, but after having children, I needed help to get and stay healthy. I started my healthy eating and workout plan in 2015 and lost a lot of weight. More importantly, I felt so much better.
When I started that plan, I used a protein supplement shake that really kicked things into gear for me. So, since I need a bit of a reset now, I’ve decided to try a new type of supplement:
Vital Protein Collagen Peptides
Not only am I hoping this will help me feel better overall, but it is supposed to help with hair growth, nail strength, and skin appearance. Plus, collagen helps with joint and ligament health. Any or all of these things would be awesome, so it doesn’t hurt to try, right?
I do have a ton of hair, but since pregnancy, it tends to fall out. A LOT. It also doesn’t seem to grow as fast as it once did. My nails have never grown, so anything would be improvement. Finally, my skin could use a boost. I’d love to see less wrinkles and breakouts.
I’m going to add Vital Protein Collagen Peptides to my coffee in the morning for at least a month, and see what happens. I’m hoping that it will give me that extra push and motivation I need to get back to feeling my best.
In addition, I’m going to keep going to the gym, drink water, and eat less junk/more real food.
Strength in Numbers
For some added motivation and support, I’d love if you would join me. You don’t need to take Vital Protein or go to the gym. I want you to do whatever feels good to you, and we can support each other on our way to a healthier self. It doesn’t have to be about weight loss, just about feeling better. I would like to lose a few pounds, but I also would like to feel good again.
I am not being sponsored to try this product, and I have purchased it on my own because I have heard such great things about it. Remember, I am not a doctor, so please check with a health professional before taking any supplements or making any health changes.
I have signed up as an affiliate so that you can try it too.

I hope this helps you get restarted on being healthier. I’m trying to do the same – I’m still in dance classes, but I want to find more ways to move throughout the week. I need to find healthier foods, that actually keep me full, and just be a healthier person in general. I’m not awful by any means, but I’ve gained some weight and I don’t always feel great so I know it’s needed. We can do it!!
